I am pleased to announce that our South Webster Jr High Cross Country team started their season in a very strong way with an outstanding performance at Wellston. Caleigh Benner started the morning with a medal-winning finish just outside the Top 40 overall girls battling the wet course to set the tone. Our boys team followed her performance with a second-place overall finish with four Jeeps inside the Top 20 with Caden Johnson, Braden Mantell, Jacob McGraw, and Hunter Barnard finishing 2nd, 6th, 12th, and 16th, respectively. Liam Osborne began his Jr High career with an outstanding first meet earning a medal and Danny Marinski finished very strong to complete our team effort leading to an impressive 2nd place overall trophy! If you know any Jr High students that want to join us, please let me know! WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR RUNNERS!
Also, a big congratulations to our High School teams. The boys started strongly and our girls won first place overall. We are hoping to carry the momentum into next week at Vinton County. Go Jeeps!
