College Credit Plus (CCP)
College Credit Plus (CCP)
CCP is a great program that allows students to save a great deal of money on their college education by taking college courses during high school. South Webster High School partners with Shawnee State University and Zane State College to offer 52 credit hours of dual enrollment (CCP courses) to students in grades 9-12 in our building. Most students who take advantage of these courses can graduate high school and begin college as a 2nd year.
All students interested in participating in CCP during the 2025-2025 school year must
1. Complete the online application(s) for CCP through their choice Ohio College/University (by their deadline)
2. Turn in their Letter of Intent to participate in CCP to the school (by April 1st)
3. Turn in their mature content forms to the school
4. Meet course qualification criteria (through 3.0+ GPA and testing requirements)
Students and parents who are new to the CCP program must attend a CCP Info Session at South Webster High School or another local school (showing proof of attendance). This year, the South Webster meeting takes place on November 20th from 7-8 PM. Students and parents who have already participated in the program aren't required to attend an informational meeting because they have already seen the presentation.
Qualifying for CCP
In order to qualify for CCP courses, students need to use ACT or Accuplacer scores. Any student interested in taking the Accuplacer exam to qualify for specific CCP courses (such as Math and English courses) should contact Mrs. Ashley via email or sign up in the high school office window. The Accuplacer test will be offered for free at South Webster on January 28, 2025 to students who have signed up.
For more information about College Credit Plus, please reach out to Andrea Ashley or Judy Slack in the guidance department.
