Principal's Message

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to Bloom-Vernon Elementary, where ‘doing what’s best for kids’ is our motto. Our staff prides ourselves in meeting needs of our students.

It is not uncommon when you drive by our school to see cars in the parking lot. Weekends, evenings, summers, early morning hours….our dedicated staff is here to serve you and your children.

It has often been said that it takes a village to raise a child, and we agree with this comment. The village of South Webster is a great place to live, work, play, and attend school. We are committed to excellence and have high expectations, for ourselves as well as our children.

Parents, we are strong believers that the most successful students come from supportive homes where parents/guardians work WITH us. Together, your child has no limits on what he/she can achieve. We are ALL key stakeholders in the lives of our kids.

As teachers, we have embedded some things that research proves to be ‘best practices’. One of the ‘best practices’ is a collaborative learning environment among the adults in our building. Included in the ‘best practices’ is collaborating with you, the parents. Bloom-Vernon Elementary staff welcomes you to come in and meet us, talk with us, and share in the successes and failures of your child. Oftentimes the failures we experience are the very experiences that make us successful!!! Learning from failures is success.

We look forward to helping you help your child. Please feel free to contact me at any time. I am here to serve the students and staff at Bloom-Vernon Elementary, as well as anyone else in the community.

Respectfully,

Sandy Smith

Principal
