8th Grade Coach Jason Baker:
South Webster 47 vs Oak Hill 41
Our last game of regular season resulted in an interesting win for our Jeeps ending our regular season with a 13-2 record. While this record provides us with a title of League Champs, our sights are set on a larger goal; SOC Champs! The league is much tougher now than it was the beginning of the season and we have much to work on to become a championship caliber team. We played well in spurts tonight, but we also were careless with the ball at times. We have to play mistake-free basketball if we want to win out these next three games.
The win came after a crazy two days of having only 6 guys practice. Most of our battle has been in the classroom and not on the court. Half of our team has been working to catch up on missing assignments and studying for tests during our practices. Today was a day where several could finally get their heads above water! I want to praise the Jr. High staff for working with me in helping get these guys caught up. I've always told them that success in the classroom will carry over onto the court as well. We need this now more than ever going into the tournament. First round for us is Thursday night against Northwest in the high school gym at 7:30.

7th Grade Coach Evan Keslar:
Your 7th grade boys basketball team was able to pick up another win last night against the oaks in our final season game. This was one of our best defense games of the year. Effort and aggression was right where we needed it to be going into tournament. Offensively we played under control and took pretty good shots in the half court and found open players in transition.
The final score was 40-13 and we finish season play 10-5. We begin tournament play Wednesday against the Northwest Mohawks who tomahawked their way to victory against us a few games ago.
