Ohio’s College Credit Plus program can help eligible students in grades 7-12 earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from universities. South Webster is fortunate to have 5 credentialed teachers who are approved to teach Shawnee State and Ohio University classes at South Webster High School. Students at South Webster may start taking college level classes as early as their sophomore year and can potentially graduate with a total of 31 semester hours completed here on our campus at no cost to the students or parents.
In order for your student to participate in College Credit Plus, there are two important steps to complete. First of all, parents and students must attend our CC+ Informational meeting that will be held on Thursday, March 23, at 6:00 in our Group Teaching Room. Representatives from Ohio University and Shawnee State will be there to help answer any questions you might have. Secondly, students must be “college ready” in order to participate in the program. This means they must score high enough on a college readiness exam like the ACT or Accuplacer. Please join us on March 23rd at 6:00 to find out more about this important opportunity.
