Good morning Jeep Nation and happy Wednesday. Our desk has been overrun with news so we need to get that out to you! Here are some stories from around our district.
From Mrs. Josie Collier, Engineering:
Congratulations to our Engineering Team - Markus Hagen, Brianna Smith, Drew Wallace, Katlyn Britton, and Dylan Bond for being awarded $1500 in the Glockner Tri-state Dare to Dream Pitch Competition held Tuesday evening at Ohio University Southern. This team of entrepreneurs presented their idea, prototype, and business plan of reducing plastic in landfills by extending the life of Expo Dry Erase Markers with a “Re-MARK-able” attachment. This “Shark Tank” style competition started in January with 250 students on 51 teams and ended last night with the top 14 teams made up of 40 students. Go Jeeps!
Great job guys! You made us all proud with that accomplishment. Coach Johnson had some news about some achievements that some of her high school girls basketball players have achieved this past season:
Congratulations to:
Ellie Jo Johnson
SOC II Offensive player of the year, SOC 1st Team, District 14 Co-player of the year, District 14 1st Team, District 14 AP First Team, All Ohio 3rd Team.
Avery Zempter
SOC 2nd Team.
Maddison Cook
District 14 Honorable Mention and District AP 3rd Team.
Way to go Lady Jeeps!
Mrs. Phipps in the library has passed along to us that she has a long list of overdue books due back in the library from various students. If students fail to return those before the end of the year report cards could be held, if a graduating senior fails to return those books, their transcripts would be held. Please return any and all overdue materials to the library as soon as possible.
We will be updating the April Lunch menu in the next 72 hours so all of you can start planning for next month’s meals.
We think that is everything for now. We had the Tech Team take pictures and video of the National Honors Society induction ceremony and we are downloading from both cameras as we are typing this. We really hope everyone enjoys those. With that said, we hope you all have a great Wednesday and as always…GO JEEPS!
