What a great week Jeep Nation. So many things going on as per normal this time of year. We have some news and reminders. Let's get started.
Our 7th and 8th Grade Girls teams won last night. Our Varsity Lady Jeeps fell in a close one 55-52. They will be playing tomorrow starting at 2 p.m against Fairfield (Leesburg). The boys will be starting their season vs. Glenwood with an expected tip-off at 6 p.m.
The annual Christmas Parade will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. starting at the fire station. The marching band will be performing. Stay tuned for updates as it is supposed to rain for the next day or so. No matter what though, there will be a craft fair and good food starting at 10 a.m. at the fire station.
Also on Saturday there will be a chili cook-off and Christmas auction being held here at the high school. The event will start at 4 p.m. Here is the info from Mrs. D. Claxon:
$10
Includes 6 samples, a bowl of your favorite chili, a peanut butter sandwich, a bottle of water, chips, dessert, entry ticket for door prizes, and voting tickets. Tickets can be purchased by students going on the trip.
A silent auction of decorated Christmas tabletop trees and wreaths will be conducted as well
Have an amazing chili recipe? Enter your chili! There will be three categories: traditional, non-traditional, and spicy. You will need to provide two crockpots of your chili and someone to man the station. Contact Darcee Claxon at darcee.claxon@bvjeeps.org or 740-778-2320 to enter.
We have put pictures of some of the wreaths and trees below. We hope you all have a great weekend and as always...GO JEEPS!
