Shawnee State University presents “Won’t You Be My Neighbor” film
The Vern Riffe Center for the Arts (VRCFA) and Shawnee State University’s School of Education presents movie night featuring “Won’t You Be My Neighbor” film starting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9 in the Eloise Covert Smith Theater in the VRCFA.
“Won’t You Be My Neighbor” is a documentary chronicling the life and work of Fred Rogers. The event is open to both the Portsmouth and SSU community, and admission is $3.00 per ticket and free to all prospective students who apply at the event.
There will be a meet and greet event, “Shawnee Neighborhood,” right before the film starting at 6 p.m. where participants can meet community friends such as PAAC, Portsmouth Public Library, Southern Ohio Museum, and SSU friends from the Admissions Office and Graduate Admissions.
There will be a basket raffle taking place during the Shawnee Neighborhood event as well, and all attendants wearing a cardigan to the event will receive a free raffle ticket.
