Today at a county-wide IMPACT meeting, Emma Stone and Raylee Slack shared updates about the awesome things SWHS IMPACT (one of our youth-led prevention groups) has been up to. From preparing for Red Ribbon Week presentations at our elementary school to helping create a school atmosphere of belonging, they left Commissioners Scottie Powell and Merit Smith impressed. It’s amazing what positive change can come about when youth from all of our schools put their minds together!

From Mr. Havens, regarding the soccer game this evening,
I just got word from Wheelersburg's AD that gates will not open until 6:00 pm. They are having senior night at 6:15 pm, and then the game will begin at 7 pm. I know it is a big game, and I wanted to make sure that our community didn't stand in the rain waiting for the gates to be open.

Mrs. Dutiel’s Journalism class enjoyed having Paul Boggs Jr. from the Portsmouth Daily Times as their guest speaker during class today. They enjoyed hearing about his experiences as a sports journalist and appreciated his willingness to share his time and fun stories.
We want to give a shout-out to an official who went above and beyond for kids last night. Mr. Havens had an official call-off from the HS volleyball game vs. West. Mr. Havens, several assignors, and officials tried finding an official available in every place south of Columbus without any luck. Mr. Chris Hedrick, a licensed soccer and volleyball official, was already at our soccer game for the evening. Mr. Havens explained the situation to Chris, and he stepped up for our kids. As soon as the varsity soccer game was over, he changed clothes and filled in for the varsity volleyball game at our gym. Without Mr. Hedrick filling in, our volleyball team would've had to reschedule 'Senior Night'. Thank you again to Chris Hedrick from Mr. Havens, Mrs. Claxon, the South Webster volleyball team, and the community.

Our fall athletes went and greeted our elementary students yesterday morning. We love this tradition, as many of our elementary students look up to our high school athletes. Thank you for being good role models. GO JEEPS!
