Friday morning from 9:00-12:00 noon Bloom-Vernon Schools will be collecting donations for Hurricane Harvey victims. Allard's Excavation is providing a semi for the delivery to Highland Heights Church of Christ, in Houston, Texas.
Items can include, but not limited to, toilet tissue, paper towels, soap, deodorant, tooth paste, diapers, formula, mops, canned food, bottled water, etc.
If you are affiliated with a church, school, or any other organization, and would like to donate items, We'd love to have you help us fill the semi, southern Ohio style!!
Please drop items off at the front of the elementary, between 9:00-noon on Friday morning.
We could use help sorting and loading the items. If you are available Friday and would like to help, please come to the elementary to help.

The Abby Ruby Memorial Run will be held this tomorrow morning (Saturday) at 9:00 a.m. starting at the elementary school. State Board Member Recognizes Megan Large at August Board Meeting
Nick Owens, District 10 State Board Representative, visited the Bloom-Vernon Local Board of Education meeting on Monday, August 21to present Megan Large with the 2017 District 10 Teacher of the Year Certificate. Mr. Owens explained that Megan was chosen not only for her effectiveness as a teacher but for the care and concern she shows for her students. Brett Roberts, high school principal, was also in attendance and expressed how fortunate the school and students are to have Megan because of her excellence as a teacher and mentor. Megan currently teaches American History and AP Psychology at South Webster Jr/Sr High School.
